Hi

I've just come off the phone to one of our customers, who's had a problem trying to register the ATA portion of his Zyxel router to our service. We'd tried performing various troubleshooting steps, including getting a trace of all the network data sent between our server and the router, and found that it seemed to be sending nonsensical data to our server.

Apparently, when these particular devices fail to register for any particular reason (for instance, incorrect password / authentication name mismatch), the sip configuration data becomes corrupt in the router, in particular the SIP server address - even though it's still shown on screen correctly.

The resolution to this is to blank off all the server fields (SIP Server Address, REGISTRAR Server Address, SIP Service Domain), update the configuration, then replace the correct server addresses.

Once this configuration is saved, and re-registered, the device should work just fine.

Hope this helps some people!!
