Just to add to the information already posted this is what I found when configuring my N97 for VoIP;
You need to add in @soho66.co.uk after your ID in the Public User Name field, without this the service wont register.
Phone Setting
Profile Name : Soho66
Service Profile : IETF
Default Access Point : Choose your defined Access Point
Public User Name : VoIP Username@
soho66.co.uk
Use Compression : No
Registration : Always
Use Security : No
Proxy Server - Do not enter any proxy server details
Registrar Server
Registrar serv.addr. : Domain
Realm : Domain
User Name : VoIP Username
Password : VoIP Password
Transport Type : UDP
Port : 5060
