0845 - Call Charges Options

On 0845 numbers BT Call Charges at 2p per minute at peak times.
On 0845 numbers Soho66 Call Charges at 4.5p per minute at peak times.

Am I reading this right?
That soho66 is more than double the price per minute than BT landline?

Hi,

That BT document also states a 'call set up fee' of 13.10p inc VAT which applies to 'most calls'.

Soho66 have no such charge.

I just checked, calling our SoHo 0845 number cost me about 20p for the first minute.
That's quite expensive, especially as we divert our main number to the o845, and will be paying for all calls. If we get 10 calls a day only, that's and extra £60/ a month!
Is there a cheaper solution?

Hi Robin,

We cannot control what the provider of your main number charges you for forwarding calls to an 0845 number unfortunately, 20p a minute is far higher than our standard charges.

There are a couple of alternatives, one is to take a landline number from us at £2.99 per month and forward calls to that instead, it is usually cheaper to forward to a landline number than it is to forward to an 0845 number.

The second option is to port your main number to us for a one of charge of £15 you would then have no forwarding charges to pay, drop us an email to support@soho66.co.uk stating the number in question and we will check if it can be ported into us.
