It would be quite nice for a way for me to put an image on my website to say that there is someone connected or not to my voip service. This could either be done as an xml response by me querying your server and then me showing an image relevant to the response received or for you to allow us to upload an image for offline and online and you then respond with the relevant image into a html image tag.

Thanks
David

I second that.

An API of some kind would be best, as well as a few default images to choose from for those who can't develop an interface themselves.

After having some time to start using the IP Phone service I have to admit a full API facility would be great and make you different from the rest of the IP phone services. These are the API facilities that I would personally find useful.

- Online / Offline
- - Send xml request on entering on-line and offline instance for each user including what ever user details get sent during the ip phone registration. This could be used to build up stats on how long each user was on phone and to display correct current call details for each user

- Upon Call Answer
- - User ID to connect with register
- - Caller Number
- - How long waiting till answer

- Upon Making Call
- - User ID to connect with register
- - Number dialling
- - How long wait till answer (not sure if possible)

- End of call stats (not all applicable for making call, more for recieve)
- - User ID to connect with register
- - Caller Number
- - Number dialled (for extensions etc)
- - Price
- - Total connection length
- - Answered
- - - if yes
- - - - Length of call
- - - - How long waiting till answer
- - - if no
- - - - How long waiting
- - - - left voicemail,
- - - - - if yes
- - - - - - file url to download voicemail to my server
- - - - - - Voicemail length

I'm not sure what if any is possible, but I would Love to see as many of these implemented plus any more if people can think of any.

Also I think the best way would be an xml post or something along thoose lines, similar to the way paypal can send messages, otherwise a standard http post wouldn't be sniffed at!

Thanks
David
