Grandstream GXP 280 Options

I was wondering if anybody can help, i am using the GXP 280 handset on my network based around a virgin broadband connection with a netgear wgt624, i have followed the guide. The telephone updates and shows the correct time, and also is pingable as an ip device from a command prompt, but is always displaying not registered and will not make or receive calls. are there any hints or tricks? i have tried port forwarding in the router menu too.

ok, so all sorted for anybody else worried. Nothing to do with this router, in fact add it to the good list! i simply did a factory reset on the phone, followed the set-up instructions on this forum, then it just worked!
