pop up call journal on incomming calls? Options

so i've managed to dial out using outlook on my office phone, just wondered if there is a relative straight forward cheap as chips (ideally free) piece of software that can pop up a window with the number dialing in like the journal option you get with outlook for dialing out to take notes on?
