Hi everyone, I've had an absolute nightmare getting this phone setup but I stumbled upon a phone engineer that has done it all for me so I thought I would share the details with everyone.

I have a CIsco 7940 Series Voip phone, the problem is that they are not setup to use other phone services like SOHO66, something about SSP and SIP; they need to have new firmware installed on the phone, they call them images.

The contact details of this guy, David, can be found clicking the link below;

it cost me about £20 with VAT but he sorted it all out straight away, he really is a wizz with these things!

Good luck!

This is the guy you want, he's a genius at setting up Voip phones.

My phone had all sorts of problems, for £20 he spent a good 4 hours getting it all sorted out. It turned out to be a firewall security issue on the router itself.

Hi guys,

David has saved the day again, however I do feel a bit stupid!

My phone had been working fine for months, since the above posts were listed.

All of a sudden it stopped recieving calls and I was just getting the missed call e-mails from Soho66. It would dial out again.

Soho66 had no suggestions to fix it and just said they didn't support the Cisco so i called poor David again.

Long story short, the phone just needed turning off and on, doh!

Thought I would inform others in case they have the same problem, it is very easy to fix!
