Configuring X-Lite for use with Soho66

Setting up your X-Lite softphone with the Soho66 service is a simple process, which is managed through the X-Lite client software.

First of all, you need to know your VoIP username, password and the server that your number is connected to. You can do this from your Soho66 account, by clicking "My Soho", then "My Numbers", then the telephone number that you wish to connect to. The VoIP username and VoIP password is near the bottom of the page, in a section entitled VoIP Settings.

Open the SIP account settings in X-Lite

* Enter the SIP Accounts Settings Screen (Right Click >> SIP Account settings)
* Choose the account you want to configure and 'click properties', or click 'Add' for a new account

Enter the relevant details as follows on the Account tab
Display Name: Choose a meaningful display name
User name: Your VoIP username
Password: Your VoIP password
Authorization user name: Your VoIP username
Domain: Your VoIP Domain / Registrar Server

On the voicemail tab (optional)
Number to dial for checking voicemail: 8000

If you have issues receiving inbound calls, ensure the 'Send keep alives' setting on the advanced tab is checked
