I am using a Samsung OfficeServ SOHO SIT200EI to try to connect to the Soho66 SIP server.

I have configured the Proxy and Realm correctly, but each time I try to register my account on the phone, it fails.

I tried the same procedure using some SIP software on Windows, with success, and then used a packet sniffer to compare the two sessions (failing on phone and succeeding with software).

It appears the only difference in the sessions is that the phone is appeneding the port number to the URI.

Phone: Request-Line: REGISTER sip:sip.soho66.co.uk:5060 SIP/2.0
Software: Request-Line: REGISTER sip:sip.soho66.co.uk SIP/2.0

The phone is appending :5060 to the URI, and it appears this cannot be turned off in the phone's options. As I understand this causes problems since the URI forms part of the Digest authentication used to very the username/password. So the OpenSIPS server doesn't like the way the phone is authenticating, due to this unusual URI.

What do you suggest I do to solve this problem? Is it possible to configure soho66's servers to cope with this nuance?

Andrew
